- The year is 1972. The place: Cochrane Fountain City High School. I, Mary Barnes, won Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year. Besides being the fastest runner in 5th grade, it ranks among my highest accomplishments. My daughter requested that I have a blog (she is the one typing right now). It's indeed a nice nickname for Grandma! Hehe! You guys are very sweet people. I seldom hear of families who visit their elders due to their busy schedules. I do hope you continue this practice. I'm pretty sure Grandma G enjoys every visit Miss Lydia makes, right? :)
